Abby was never much to take notice of. She was small, and slight, and quiet. Oftentimes, you wouldn’t even know she was there. But she always was there, standing silently against the wall. One day, we had a party for George’s retirement--he was a good man, George---great at golf, had two daughters, Karen and Kaitlin, and married his high school sweetheart. Anyways, it was a great party--but Abby, she literally faded into the office wall. It was a week before we realized she had become part of it. You can still see her outline in the plaster.
hmmm... if i fade into any office walls, i give you permission to sledge hammer me out.
